Palantir co-founder and renowned defense investor Joe Lonsdale weighed in on escalating tensions between Israel and Iran in a CNBC interview on Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Lonsdale, Tehran\u2019s pursuit of nuclear weapons demands decisive US action, regardless of political hesitation or past intervention fatigue.<\/p>\n

Lonsdale refrained from speculating on intentions, referring to President Trump\u2019s recent remarks that the United States could launch a military action in Iran within the next two weeks.<\/p>\n

However, he emphasized the severity of the threat, saying, \u201cIf people chant death to America for years, kill American soldiers, and then try to build a nuke, you should make it clear they can\u2019t have a nuke.\u201d<\/p>\n

Palantir\u2019s co-founder dismissed the idea that the entire population of Iran (92 million people) supports the regime\u2019s ambitions, pointing instead to the country\u2019s rich history and its people\u2019s natural alignment with Western values.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Personal people, the Kurds \u2013 these are modern, intelligent communities who have suffered under a theocratic regime,\u201d Lonsdale told CNBC this morning, adding, \u201cIran could be a prosperous republic if not run by crazy people”.<\/p>\n

Palantir co-founder urges military action against Iran<\/h2>\n

Joe Lonsdale expressed confidence in America\u2019s so-called bunker-buster bombs in the CNBC interview on Friday. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m told they work \u2013 there\u2019s no reason they shouldn\u2019t be able to do it \u2013 and you can always hit things multiple times just to be sure,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Lonsdale backed the idea of a preemptive strike<\/a> to eliminate nuclear infrastructure but clarified that he respects the administration\u2019s stated goal of stopping nuclear proliferation without necessarily pursuing regime change.<\/p>\n

That said, Palantir\u2019s co-founder acknowledged that toppling Iran\u2019s regime could unlock long-term stability in the region.<\/p>\n

You take out the mullahs, you remove an entire axis of terror \u2013 Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis \u2013 all funded and fuelled by this regime. The Abraham Accords could flourish, and peace becomes more viable, he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Lonsdale criticizes \u2018woke right\u2019 for view on Iran<\/h2>\n

Joe Lonsdale was unsparing in his criticism of past Democratic administrations as well as factions within the current Republican government.<\/p>\n

He rebuked President Obama for avoiding the term \u201cIslamic extremism\u201d, accusing him of playing balance-of-power politics that allowed radicals to thrive.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he slammed elements of what he called the \u201cnew woke right\u201d \u2013 including figures like Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson \u2013 for opposing action against Iran due to war fatigue.<\/p>\n

Being against more boots on the ground doesn\u2019t mean you allow maniacs to get nukes \u2013 it\u2019s childish stubbornness, being so angry about Iraq that they can\u2019t see this is different.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Palantir\u2019s co-founder also pointed to misinformation campaigns, alleging many anti-interventionist voices online are fake accounts from Islamist networks masquerading as conservatives. <\/p>\n

The rising geopolitical tensions, particularly in the Middle East, are helping PLTR shares remain at record levels<\/a> of about $140.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
